We love weekends. Most weekends revolve around a morning workout whether it be a run, yoga class, HIIT session or if feeling adventurous, a climb. During the workout our mind often wanders to that special time between breakfast and lunch. The Fitnessbells Personal Trainer’s live all around South West London so we’ve put together a list of all our favourite brunch spots to keep you pushing through your workout.
Annabel- I really like Brew off the Northcote Road in Clapham specially when the suns out as it’s the perfect spot to watch the world go by. I love the avocado on toast with cottage cheese, lemon and salt on toasted pide (with marmite!). If I’ve had a particularly tough workout, I order the nutter butter shake with almond milk, peanut butter, granola, honey and banana. It’s delicious!
Amy- I love Flotsam and Jepsam just off Wandsworth Common. If it’s sunny outside, I always try to bag a table outside overlooking the park. I usually order a butterfly latte which is blue matcha, passionfruit and almond milk, it just tastes great and looks so pretty. A little naughty but I always order the F & J pancakes with crispy bacon, caramelised banana, fresh berries, maple syrup and marscapone. I love the salty and sweet combination.
Victoria- My favourite is Megan’s in the courtyard on the New Kings Road, Fulham although they are popping up all over South West London. I always try and get a table in the courtyard, it’s got a great atmosphere and a beautiful decor. During my most recent visit, I had the poached egg on toast, smashed avocado on organic bread. The eggs were cooked to perfection!
Anna- ‘Tell your friends’, Parsons Green. Wins for the best name for a brunch place. ‘Tell your friends’ is an all plant based cafe, creating imaginative dishes from seasonal and ethical produce. My favourite is the full english breakfast with all the trimmings including ackee ‘scrambled eggs’.
Marta- Antipodia in Richmond is a great all day Australian eatery. The Australian’s are typically known for being coffee snobs, and Antipodia doesn’t disappoint. They have a vast selection of juices that I’m slowly working my way through. My favourite at the moment is the summer breeze; melon, orange, apple and cinnamon. The toasted banana bread with honeyed yoghurt and pistachios are a must.
If you love a weekend brunch as much as we do, and live in South West London, give these bad boys a try.
